Former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker, Michael Owen has revealed what he expects from Chelsea’s clash with Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday.
Chelsea head to the game after a 3-0 victory over Southampton in their last Premier League fixture, while United defeated Newcastle 3-2.
Owen said he expects the Blues to improve on their home record against United and defeat Jose Mourinho’s side at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
“Chelsea have lost just one of their last 16 home league games with Manchester United,” Owen told BetVictor.
“And I expect to see the hosts improve on that proud home record.
“Jose Mourinho has lost all three games as United boss at Stamford Bridge, and the visitors will certainly have to defend better than they did against Newcastle in the first 45 minutes at Old Trafford last time.
“United deserve plenty of credit for their second half comeback against the Magpies, but this will be a severe test of their top four credentials.
“I feel the Blues will edge what promises to be a great start to the weekend.”
The kick-off time for the match is 12.30pm.
